Paper Snake

This paper snake is extremely easy to make, and can therefore be done by a young child, with no adult assistance, once they know how. I used to make these when I was five (and also when I was older), and give them to my brother, who was then three, for him to play with - much to his delight!

You will need:

10 cm (4 inches) square piece of paper

Coloured crayons

Scissors, thread and sticky tape

Method:

Draw a spiral on the paper (or print and copy the one below) and draw on the eyes and a pattern on the snake’s body.

Cut out along the spiral line.

Fasten the thread to the snake’s head with tape, and hang it up.
