Paper Dove

You will need:

1 square sheet of paper (15 cm x 15 cm is a good size to start off with).

1.With the predominant colour face down, fold corner A to corner B.

2. Fold in half again, bringing C to D. Diagram 2

3. Bring point E (upper layer only) up to F. Turn over and repeat on the other side.

4. Fold point G (upper layer only) so that it comes to the top of the paper. Unfold.

5. Partially opening up the upper layer of the model, place your thumb on point G and push the little triangle in on itself, so that it folds inside the model, upon the creases made in step 4.

6. Turn over and repeat steps 4 & 5 on the other side.

7. With the closed ends on the left, fold over the end as shown in the picture and crease very well. Unfold.

8. Folding out the model slightly, refold the creases just made so that the end diamond fits inside, with the tip sticking out to make the head.

9. Taking hold of H (very top layer only) fold up, along the line I-J. Turn over and repeat on the other side.

10. To make the tale, fold K downwards along the dotted line.

11. Insert your thumb inside and squash flat. (Diagram 11)

12. Fold the top half of the tail, L, to the back, and the dove is finished.
