Paper Banger

This is a very simple design that is capable of making a deafening bang.

You will need:

A sheet of newspaper or glossy magazine paper, 29 x 42cm (11½ x 16½)

1. Fold the paper in half, long sides together. Unfold. 2. Fold all the corners in, to the centre crease. 3.Fold corners A to corners B. (Diagram 1)	Diagram 1
4. Fold in half again, bringing the sharp points together.	Diagram 2
5.Fold the top layer upwards against side C (diagram 2) to create a triangular shape (diagram 3). Repeat on the reverse side. The banger is now finished!	Diagram 3
To use: hold it tightly by the corner that has two points (diagram 4) then bring it down at lightening speed as if cracking a whip.	Diagram 4
The inner flap will shoot out creating a loud bang. (Diagram 5) To do it again, push the flap back in and repeat. After a few tries you will soon get the hang of it.
