Peas

Planting
March and April are the best months for sowing peas. They
     prefer rich soil.

Sow the seeds in trenches about 2 inches (5 cm) deep and 8
inches (20 cm) wide: sprinkle the peas in the trench so that they
     are 2 - 3 inches (5 - 8 cm) apart. Carefully re-cover with soil.

Maintenance

Germinating peas are attractive both to birds and to mice and
need to be protected with wire or plastic netting.
The plants must be supported by a framework of some sort
sticks, wire netting, plastic netting or string - this should be
constructed no later than when the plants start to produce tendrils.

Harvesting
Peas are one of the most delicious vegetables that you can grow in
the garden. They should be picked when they are small and sweet.
